Karen-Marie Axworthy is a contemporary artist living and working in Sardinia.

After many years in communications, travel, and creative projects across different countries, she returned to her first love - painting. Her work is intuitive and colour-led, created through a process of layering acrylic, ink, and mixed media on canvas.

 

Living close to nature, sea light, and the quiet rhythms of island life informs her practice. Texture, movement, and organic form emerge naturally as she works, guided more by feeling than by plan.

 

Her paintings reflect a deep connection to place, presence, and the simple act of making.
